Will add your blog to blogroll in the next update.
X
Supa
P.S. It gets better! I have watched Go On. At first I was resistant, but the episode about "She Ded" vanity plates had me in stitches. Not every episode is funny, but every time I have watched they have hit on a valid "issue", that I could relate to. Right now, I'll take every bit of help and humor I can get, so I'll probably keep watching.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3599655836040142750.post-10196315935293100022012-10-05T12:52:09.828-04:002012-10-05T12:52:09.828-04:00Hi Karen and Lori,

Whether it's funny... well, that will probably decide it's future. It DID get a full season order already though.
X
Supa
Supa Dupa Freshhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07659738264922395349noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3599655836040142750.post-12033729367238349332012-10-04T11:43:37.330-04:002012-10-04T11:43:37.330-04:00I am so happy that you took the time to write a th...I am so happy that you took the time to write a thoughtful commentary on this show. I was hesitant to watch it because of the subject matter -- thinking it would hit too close to home; but because I adored MP's Chandler Bing and Friends I decided to give it a go.

I think they water down the topic of loss by including all sorts of loss -- must have been a network directive to try to keep it a comedy. I understand it's all about the ratings.

Personally, I don't find it particularly funny. I watch more out of curiosity to see if they "get it right" (IMHO, like Karen). I find that they are doing a decent job.

I will continue to watch with an open mind.

p.s. I was part of an in person support group -- it was NOTHING like this, lots and lots of tears and very very little laughter but I suspect it's because we were all freshly widowed and numb. Whenever I think Go On is going off the rails or just getting things wrong, it switches direction and gets things right (well, my perception of "right" and "wrong," anyway). Some things are grating on me (Mr. K, Mr. K, did I mention Mr. K?). But all in all, I like it.

(Caveats: I've never belonged to an in-person support group, I don't seem to do well with online ones much either, and I'm almost 28 months "out." So that for that.)Karenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03154896689834205838noreply@blogger.com
